The Loop
New York Singer/Songwriter Lilly Martin & Keyboarder/Producer Michael Dolmetsch formed their band project called "the loop" in 1999 with their own song material. They performed live, released 2 CDs (available on itunes below) and won songwriting prizes ( "Going Greyhound" in 2005 & "Call Me" in 2008). Several songs have been covered by artists such as Scottish singer - Janet Christel & Swiss Country Lady - Doris Ackermann.
Their new CD is a collection of cover songs interpreted with a lot of soul and just the right twist of smokey blues. Titled The Velvet Mission for its smooth and textured sound, the CD will be released under Lilly Martin's own name very soon. More infos under: www.lillymartin.com
